vixxey:

First fox of the year!
This lovely girl was hit by a car and originally brought to an animal hospital, but she was then transferred to us after she was stabilized. (In the state of NJ, only licensed rehabilitators and their sub-permittees can keep wild animals for over 24 hours).
She is currently deaf, but otherwise looks and acts very well. We are hoping her hearing will come back soon (it often does in hit by car animals).
This particular fox is a total sweetie. She’s still defensive, like a healthy wild animal should be, but she’s very curious and likes to snuggle with her bedding.
